Today was our last class session with our SCA team of Donnie, Becca, and Natalie.  Each took a turn explaining where they were going next.  Then in celebration of our last day, they took the students outside to play some fun games.  We will see Donnie and Natalie one more time at the Field Day on May 2nd.

Dear Edwina Play - Cawley Muscial

Last week, HMS was invited to be an audience for the Cawley musical, Dear Edwina.  The eight graders did an amazing job!  The singing and acting was amazing.  We had so much fun!

Simplest Form - Math

We have been working on taking fractions and making them in the simplest form.  In doing this, we have come up with one strategy to help us find the simplest form.  Try this strategy at home!!

SCA - Week 8

This week Donny, Becca and Natalie's lesson focused on the local issue of perceived overpopulation of bobcats in New Hampshire. After reiterating previous learning of bobcat characteristics, habitat and environment, they taught students the idea of overpopulation through games. They provided background information on the local issue of bobcat population in New Hampshire, and lead students to identify ways they can act to help wildlife.  Another fun lesson!!
