Homework

Homework is an essential way to practice skills that we are working on. We will typically have homework assignments Monday through Thursday. Your child will write each day’s assignment in their agenda.  Your job will be to sign their planner each night when homework is completed.

This process helps your child become responsible and promotes independence.  It is an integral part of the learning process.  If your child cannot complete their homework, please attach a note to the assignment explaining the reason and return it to school the next day.   In certain instances, it may become necessary to offer more support for students who are missing homework and assignments. We will enlist your help to assist our children in developing the organizational skills that will help them succeed in third grade and beyond. Part of this process includes encouraging responsible behavior with school work and assignments.

Being involved in your child’s learning is an important piece to a successful year. Please partner with us in helping your child develop successful study habits.  The use of a homework routine and a study spot is a great way to start.

Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation.
